BOARD & TRAIN

Mind your Manners

Boot Camp Board & Train

2-3 week board & train in our trainer's home. In this fully immersive Board & Train program, we will work on all the skills your dog needs to live a calm, happy life. Also included are lessons for you, so you can confidently replicate any of the skills your dog has learned.

The Board & Train Boot Camp starts at a 2 week program - ideal for dogs who need help with manners, like jumping, doorway etiquette, calmer leash walking. The program incorporates the building of:

  • Strong Engagement
  • Foundational Obedience
  • Leash Walking
  • Basic Manners and Impulse Control

Dogs with high anxiety, or specific behavioral issues may require require the extension or our Complex Canine Program below.

Complex Canine B&T

Rehabilitaion for the Nervous & Grumpy

This 4 week immersive Boarding Rehabilitation program allows time for us to really get to know your dog and work on much more specific problems. We can really focus on what is causing your dog's behaviours and work on gaining neutrality in different environments, on walks, around dogs, and in the home.

It all starts with building trust, through active engagement and confidence raising exercises. While staying in our trainer's home, we will work toward building a strong engagement and obedience foundation, with impulse control, and basic manners.
Also included are lessons for you, so you can confidently replicate any of the skills your dog has learned.

This program is designed for our more reactive, fearful, or aggressive dogs.

Canine Development Program

A Complete Communication System

Our most requested program. It is a system with a focus on teaching you and your dog how to communicate harmoniously. Together, we work on building your dog's vocabulary, but not in the way you think. You will learn how your dog communicates as a canine, and you will learn how to influence their behavior using methods like luring, shaping, and leash cues. This allows you to be able to communicate clearly in a variety of environments and really puts you in the driving seat! Clear Communication, Engagement, Confidence Building, and Loose Leash Walking will all be covered.

This package consists of 6 x One-on-One Lessons at your home, a local park, or hitting the streets. We will get together for 2 lessons per week (can work with your schedule), and you will have easy-to-replicate drills to practice, along with video or written references for the days in between.
Your dog will be their best self in no time!

This program alone does not cover high level anxiety, reactivity, or aggression. Dogs looking to work through the more complex issues will require the Development Plus ~ details below.

Note: Lesson 1 is an introduction to our style of training, which includes an educational aspect for the humans, and the creation of our training plan. Due to the nature of this, Lesson 1 is an extended lesson at around 90 minutes.

Canine Development Plus

For our friends who need a little extra

This Development Program, like the one above, implements a system for YOU. We will set you and your dog set up for success. In our 10 x One-on-One lessons, we can add in some more advanced skills that are going to help shape your dog's mindset as we work towards a calmer, more settled version of them. We cover and practice more stability in behaviors, getting out in public, down stays in the park. We will tailor the extra lessons to your specific needs.

This program is beneficial to anyone wishing to push their understanding and training further than the basics. Best of all, it can be tweaked to make sure you get exactly what you need out of it.

This program is a requirement for our Anxious, Aggressive, and Reactive friends (though any dog/owner combo will benefit from it). It takes time and repetition to undo behaviors. We need to know why they are behaving that way, then show them how we want them to be. There is a lot of value in time spent working on things like impulse control, and more time around environmental triggers and distractions.

2 lessons per week, with easy-to-replicate practice drills along with video or written references for the days in between.

Session Packages

Single Issue or Top-Up Training

If you have completed a program and want to continue to work on your obedience, or practice some skills you've forgotten, we can schedule Focus Sessions. Use these for things like:

  • ~ Outdoor Practice: Come when Called | Crowds | Cars
  • ~ Behavioral issues: Barking | Guests | Crate
  • ~ Other: Anything your heart desires

For new clients, we may be able to provide single issue / non-program sessions. This is something that the trainer can determine at your evaluation, based on a variety of factors. In this instance, there would be a minimum of 3 sessions to allow us to adequately train YOU on our communication methods and make sure you are confident in your ability to keep up the training.
Owner(s) must be present for a minimum of one lesson.

Existing Pack Members:

$220 / Individual 90 minute session
$600 / 3 Sessions. 60-90 minutes

New Clients:

$660 / 3 Sessions. 60-90 minutes

Important: Lessons must occur at minimum once per week.

Day Training

The Modern Dog Solution

The Day Training program will get your dog where they need to be without the disruption to your daily schedule. I will come to your home while you are working, or otherwise engaged, and train with your dog. We will spend time indoors and outside, working on real life skills like:

  • ~ Leash Walking & Doorway Etiquette
  • ~ Handler Engagement & Markers
  • ~ Anything else you need

Your dog will have a lot of fun, and you will feel the benefits.

Life can be hectic. It's okay, we can work around that. This 2 week program runs Monday-Friday for 2 weeks, and has your dog learning while you are busy with work, school, kids. I will come and work on whatever your family needs, leave instructions for you, and then we can do a recap session at the end. Voila. Your dog is improving daily.
This program consists of:

  • ~ 10 /45 minute dog training sessions
  • ~ 1 owner session
  • ~ Written and/or video instructional references

Note: If your dog is very anxious, or aggressive around new people, this type of program may not be feasible. At the trainer's discretion, we may be able to schedule acclimation sessions prior to starting, dependent on your specific needs.
